About Us
At the meeting of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education dated 01/02/2017, the establishment of a "Language Education-Instruction Application and Research Center" within the Bartın University Rectorate was deemed appropriate in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547, amended by the Law No. 2880. The Central Regulation was published in the "Official Gazette" dated 10/03/2017 and numbered 30003. The Center Regulation was revised with the decision of the Official Gazette dated 31/08/2021 and numbered 31584 and the name of the center was changed to Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center.The aims of Bartın University Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (BARÜ-TÖMER):
a) To teach Turkish at home and abroad, to introduce Turkish language, Turkey and Turkish culture; To engage in joint or independent academic and social activities at home and abroad for this purpose. b) To develop, implement and introduce course materials related to the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language.
Areas of activity of the center:
a) To organize courses, preparatory classes and certificate programs for teaching Turkish.
b) To conduct proficiency and level determination exams for teaching Turkish, and to carry out measurement and evaluation activities.
c) To organize social, cultural, sportive and artistic activities for learning Turkish and Turkish culture.
Within the scope of these purposes, our Center maintains the quality and standards of Bartın University in all its activities.
